These days I live in Everson, Washington - far to the Northwest.
Except for the professionally produced Karma Casino, the music here is recent and from a home studio,
mixed for headphones.
I know you'll respect copyright and hope you enjoy.
Shout outs:
• The iDiOM Theater in Bellingham, especially Glenn but including my fellow playwriting classmates for continuing excellent feedback on The Worm. I'm getting closer to having a viable play.
• The Blaine Community Theater for a 'table reading' of The Worm where I got good feedback to help improve the play.
• The New Prospect Theatre in Bellingham for hosting a series, and for showing an interest in The Worm.
I sprinkled instrumental versions of Worm songs into two plays at the New Prospect in April 2025, and have performed with Robin and Christopher
• The many and varied open mics in Bellingham, WA, Vancouver, BC, and Suburban Maryland
• Friday News Roundup, Woodshed, The Spark, The New Deal, El Golfo, Takomazone, Porch, Savory, The Silver Spring and Takoma VFWs and American Legion halls and other spots and venues with
Russ, Karen, David, Rob, Jay, Steve, Lou, Mary, Robert, John, Ted, Bill, Ken, the Erics, Mindy, and Phil
• The Rome Grange on Mt. Baker Highway: I performed quite a few Fridays at the Farmer's Markets - summers 2024 and 2025 - solo and with others
• Steve's Asparagus Media studio. So many good things happened there, including time with Lydia and her family, Mark on saw, and recordings about dogs
• FAWM (February Album Writing Month) - contributing music since 2023 with thousands of songwriting peers from around the world
• HMT, Rhizome, and My Dead Aunt's Books for hosting composition and performance classes in 2024
• TPTV, the Maryland SBDCenter and others for giving me the chance
to produce video. A special shout out to Marisela Vilamil and the crew of 'El Chapulin Colorado/The Red Grasshopper'
• Co-lyricist Reid Baron on Karma Casino and the crew,
including Ted, Bill, Steve, Mary and David.
• Kids at Piney Branch guitar clubs
• Carol Whittam, The Takoma Singers and Bill Herman (we tackled Moondog tunes!)
• John Lion and colleagues at The Magic Theatre in SF where I started composing. I was sound guy on first run plays by Sam Shepherd, Michael McClure and others
• Tony Gnazzo, Pauline Oliveros, Stan Lunetta, Charles Amerkhanian and other electronic artists who were mentors and friends
• The UC Davis Electronic Music Department for bringing John Cage
to campus as an Artist in Residence
• Spanish bar owners and Flamenco musicians for giving me gigs, places to crash, and encouragement as I traveled down the Spanish Eastern seaboard by train with my friend Casey after high school
• Accordianist and Musicians Union member Charlie Brown for taking me under your wing when I was in high school, introducing me to live performance in a wide variety of venues and giving me my first real job
• Wolfman Jack and all the AM folks who brought folk, surf, rock, country,
tex-mex, R&B, Brit invasion and more to my Arizonan world via transistor radio to help me start my musical journey, and to my friend Tom Kusian, my first musical compadre
• and finally, the Kingston Trio
cover band I heard in Nantucket at age 12, when I understood my path, no matter how twisty
